Brief Achievements
Developed powder based formulation of Bacillus megaterium strain NBAII 63 for the management of bacterial wilt of tomato and brinjal.
DCo innovator in developing abiotic stress tolerant antagonistic microorganisms such as high DAPG producing Pseudomonas fluorescens, Carbendazim and Salinity tolerant Trichoderma harzianum.
Developed bacterial consortium for the management of capsule rot and rhizome rot diseases of cardamom
Characterized gut microflora associated with cotton leafhopper and established their role for host fitness and insecticide resistance in cotton leafhopper
Characterised the fungal symbiont Fusarium ambrosium associated with tea shot hole borer Euwallacea fornicatus and established the symbionts’s role on host nutrition, growth and survival.
Developed the bioformulation of Bacillus subtilis strain NBAIR BS1 for growth promotion in Tea and for the management of tea shot hole borer
Characterized 12 nucleopolyhedroviruses and two granuloviruses associated with economically important insects pests.
Characterized and evaluated the indigenous nucleopolyhedrovirus infecting fall armyworm, Spodoptera frugiperda ( Spodoptera frugiperda nucleopolyhedrovirus (SpfrNPV NBAIR1).
